Show and Tell Tuesday: Service

What an awesome subject! As a follower of Jesus, my heart is filled with warmth every time I serve someone else. Have you ever had that feeling? The feeling of loving Jesus so much that you wanna love all of His people too?? Try it, its addicting :)

Mission Trip 1:

New Mexico

We went to an Indian Reservation to build this home for a family who's house burned down. We built the house out of mainly stucco, and YEP! I got stucco rash. It itches like crazy and kinda burns a bit. Not fun! But I loved serving people out of Jesus' love.

Mission Trip 2:

Denver

There was a church in the heart of Denver that served Spanish speaking citizens. We went and cleaned up the church, repaved and repainted the parking lot and the building. This was an interesting trip, but I really enjoyed bridging the language gap between us!

Serving At Church 1:

 Denver

This was at the same church that we cleaned up in the heart of Denver. We served at the VBS all year long, and I was a teacher in the 4 year olds class. I taught Spanish speaking children the bible in English. It was a tough job, but I enjoyed seeing the look on those precious kid's faces when they finally got it! It was like a lightbulb that went off in their head when it clicked how much Jesus loves them :)

Serving At Church 2:

Denver

This was at my youth group that I would serve in when I was a Freshman-Junior in highschool. I was one of the singers for the worship team, and then I was the keyboardist. It is so much fun worshipping Jesus through song. It can be a surreal experience.

I am loving looking through the ways you ladies have served. It is so heartwarming to see people who love to serve just as much as I do! I cannot wait to serve with my kids and husband some day. I truly believe it brings everyone together.
