Show and Tell Tuesday: Favorite Vacations!

What a totally fun topic!

I love taking vacations.

Some of the best memories come from them!

So, let's get talkin'!

Show and Tell Tuesday: Favorite Vacations!

Disney World
Because, duh.

Happiest place on Earth!

I l-o-v-e Disney World, but I took this vacay when I was younger.

So, I can't wait to go back and experience it with my man!

This is actually at Universal Studios, because we went to both Universal and WDW. But it was all in the same trip. We had a blast!

And yes. I was in a boot the entire trip. Painful, but worth it!!

My tip to myself for future trips to Disney World is to spend at least 6-7 days at the parks, and only do 1 park a day. Pack snacks, and don't be afraid to take a break during the day and then come back. Also, plan to do Universal Studios while you're there, and plan your trip during the non busy times!

Cruise
Because, also duh.

We went on a cruise to Turks and Caicos, Aruba, Curacao, and the Dominican Republic.

HOW FUN?!!

So much fun :)

Turks and Caicos was my least favorite stop, but it was also super cloudy and a bit chilly that day, despite it being in June.

The Dominican was amazing! We took a speed boat out to a private island, and stopped by a starfish farm on the way back!

In Aruba, we explored the entire island in a huge jeep and had a great time!

In Curacao, we spent the day walking around the town. It was so hot and humid. And had I not been so motion sick, I think I would've had way more fun :)

I was young when I went on this cruise, so of course my man and I plan to do it again ourselves.

My only tip to myself for future cruises would be to plan excursions! On the stops that we didn't have anything planned, it wasn't fun at all!

Hawaii
Our move to Hawai'i was like a big year long vacation. And I loved it!

My man and I ventured out to Hawai'i and spent a year living on the island of O'ahu.

We made INCREDIBLE memories, and have even considered moving back, if it weren't so far from family.

My tip to myself for going back to Hawai'i is to find out the spots that the locals like. Those tend to be the least populated with tourists, and incredibly gorgeous. Spend time just enjoying the beach, and snorkeling. And if you're on the right island, there quite possibly is a waterfall to swim underneath ;)

So I hope you gathered some kind of cool ideas for your next adventures from my past ones!

If you have any questions, I'd love to answer them! To be honest, I know the most about Hawai'i and WDW. But, I love to help out. Let me know if you're headed on any of these vacays soon!

And if you are, enjoy!

Show and Tell: My Personal Style

My personal style... where to begin!

Show and Tell
My Personal Style!

My personal style is so hard for me to describe.

I love bright and sunny colors, pink, yellows, greens.

My favorite kind of jeans are distressed jeans.

I love heels, but I don't wear them often because I don't like being taller than my hubby.

I love comfortable clothes, but I love to look cute.

I shop at Ross, Marshalls, Tj Maxx and a ton of boutiques.

Some of my most loved pieces are from boutiques. I love them because I don't see a lot of them on other people.

I am pretty modest with how I dress. I don't like to wear skin tight clothes, or be showing my cleavage.

But that being said, I don't like my clothes to just 'drape' on me like a curtain. I like for them to have structure and flatter my figure.

I love wearing shorts in the summer {I know some women hate wearing shorts}

I love cute sandals!

I totally love wearing dresses. Short summer dresses, and maxis are my favorite.

I'm totally girly, and I love having my hair and makeup done when my clothes are looking cute too!

So there you go! I hope maybe that gives you a look into the personality of The Fashionista Housewife!

Show and Tell Tuesday: A Day In The Life

Y'all are some curious creatures!

Don't worry. I am too ;)

I love these posts!

So without further adieu, here's a day in the life at The Fashionista Housewife home :)

Show and Tell Tuesday!
A Day In The Life

I did this day in the life on a Saturday, because around our home, everyday's a Saturday :)

We woke up and spent some time together on the porch. It was gorgeous out!

Cole passed out because he always wakes up early to go potty. And then he comes back inside to eat breakfast, and then usually ends up falling asleep for another hour or 2 ;)

Then we headed out to the dog park that's down the street from our house.

My cutie smilin' away :)

Coley loves playing with every single other dog he sees. What can I say?! He's friendly!

My love bug. He said he wasn't going to smile because he was tired. #sigh #hesstillcute

We headed back home from the dog park to eat some lunch. But then we decided we needed to find a trail to take a walk on, cause it was just so dang beautiful out!

My sweethearts! #allthehearteyes

Here's my outfit for today!

Shirt: Maurices
Jeans: Rock Revival
Sandals: Vince Camuto

We were a ways away from our car, and the baby was thirsty after our walk! So we made do with what the park had to offer. Lol!

We got home, and Coley passed out right as soon as he got inside! Ha! So tired!

But after he woke up from his nap, he was good to go! Playing his little heart out. He climbed on top of his crate to get his toy bear. And then just decided he'd stay up there for a while. It's his new little 'hideout'!

After his bath, he passed out on the couch, curled up right next to his mama and daddy. #swoon.

And then when we went to put him in his crate for bedtime, he said, NO! I wanna sleep with you guys! So he jumped up on our bed and pretended to be sleeping. I mean, so cute!

 Well, y'all. Just a gorgeous Saturday for us with a bunch of silliness and love going around. Like always :)

Can't wait to read about your day in the life!

Show and Tell Tuesday: My Own Talk Show!

Well, when I was first thinking about this... I was thinking along the lines of Ellen, and what celebrities I would want on my show.

And then I realized...

I literally don't follow any celebrities.

The 'celebrities' that I follow are on YouTube.

I love the makeup artists and vloggers on there! I've been watching them for YEARS. Even before it became popular within these last 2 years.

So, welcome to my talk show!

Makeup Talk with Rae

Guests:

Jaclyn Hill

Carli Bybel

Nicole Guerriero

Casey Holmes

Nicol Concilio

Desi Perkins

Lustrelux {Katy}

Steph Willis

Questions I Would Ask:

-Favorite makeup products?
-Favorite thing to do/place to go in their hometown?
-Number one place they want to vacation to?
-Favorite person in the world?
-Which one of the YouTuber's that I invited on my show would they want to interview?

Activities On The Show:

-Cooking their favorite meal together
-Minute To Win It games
-Applying a full face of makeup the fastest
-Going shopping together
-Taking a field trip to their favorite place to go in their hometown

So, as you can tell, my show would be based on the interviews and having a fun show {think Ellen} with a little makeup mixed in :)

That would be AMAZING!

Show and Tell Tuesday: Soundtrack Of My Life

I'm not sure how Andrea does this every week!

She picks the most fun topics that I would never even think of!

My man and I sat down for close to an hour picking out songs {because it was just that fun}. So with that, I hope you enjoy these 'blast from the past' songs and they bring some memories back for you!

Show and Tell Tuesday
Soundtrack Of My Life

Childhood
As a child of the nineties, my faves were The Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears and 'N Sync.

I was the typical girl singing with her hairbrush as a microphone to those Hit Clips.

{In case you don't know, hit clips were mini boom boxes with 30 second clip songs that you could put in and play through headphones. You had to collect all of the clips. And I listened to Britney Spears "Stronger" about 2038576 times.}

What were my main jams? Whatever I had on CD's {Now That's What I Call Music CDs, to be exact!} No YouTube, iPods, or anything else but Walkman's back then!

"Call me crazy, but it a'int no lie, baby bye bye bye {bye bye}"

"I never wanna hear you say, I want it that way"

"Oops, I did it again. I made you believe. We're more than just friends. Oh baby"

"Few times I been around that track, so it's not just gonna happen like that"
{I literally learned how to spell the word 'bananas' from this song}

"I'm a Barbie Girl, in a Barbie world"
{Possibly the most annoying song in the world?? Sorry, Mom}

Teenagerhood

I got my first iPod when I was in 7th grade {and I still have it}. It was the purple iPod nano, and I just thought it was the coolest thing since sliced bread.

What were my most played songs? Take a look!

"Fergalicious, definition 'make them boys go loco'"
{Yep. I know this one word for word}

"Hey! Hey! You! You! I don't like your girlfriend!"

"G - L - A - M - O - R - O - U - S"
{Yes, I know this one word for word too. Apparently I liked Fergie back then}

"I'm not gonna write you a love song. Cause you asked for it. Cause you need one"
{This was the first song I taught myself on the piano!}

"So, So what, I'm still a rockstar. I got my rock moves. And I don't need you tonight!"

Adulthood

Oh adulting is so bittersweet. But music makes it sweeter, I think. Mostly because a jam session in the morning, while dancing around our home helps get my day started right ;)

"Show me what yo' mama gave"

"Sunday mornin' rain is fallin'. Steal some covers share some skin"
{To be fair, I've been a Maroon 5 fanatic since I came out of the womb}

"Ooooo I had the time of my life"

"Open up the champagne, POP! It's my house, come on turn it up!"

"I want to know what makes your world go round"
{One of my songs with my man. Had to add one in, but I could literally make an entire post on all of our songs!}

I hope y'all enjoyed this post. Maybe you found some new songs, or maybe you found some that you used to love too!

Either way, we had a wonderful time doing this together!
