Be prepared to win over your tribe :)
Brownie Truffles with Strawberries
Shopping List
1. 4 oz. of unsweetened baking chocolate
2. 2 sticks of butter (equaling 1 cup)
3. 4 eggs
4. 2 cups of sugar
5. 1 tsp. of vanilla
6. 1 1/4 cup of flour
7. 1/2 tsp. of baking powder
8. 1 bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips
9. Any kind of fun toppings you'd like! (Sprinkles, melted white chocolate chips, etc.)
Recipe
1. Chop up the baking chocolate and 2 sticks of butter and microwave it until it is all melted together. I put it in for 30 seconds at a time and stirred it every time it came out of the microwave!
2. Allow your buttery chocolate concoction to cool and combine your eggs, sugar, and vanilla until they are completely mixed together!
3. Slowly add in your chocolate concoction to the egg mixture and make sure it is all combined.
4. In another bowl, mix your flower and baking soda together, then combine it with the chocolate mixture.
5. Preheat your oven to 350, and spray a 9x13 pan.
6. Pour your mixture into the pan and cook for 25-30 minutes, until the brownies are cooked.
7. Once the brownies are cooked, let them cool completely, and then fluff them all up with a fork so that they are separated!
8. Form them into small balls (make sure they're smaller than mine. I made the mistake of making them too big that it's too much chocolate in one...) and then stick them into the freezer for about 20 mins.
9. Melt your chocolate chips.
10. Dip your balls into the chocolate and then let them set on a baking sheet in the fridge. Any decorations that are not melted chocolate (like sprinkles or anything else) need to be applied to the truffles before they are set.
11. Serve on a bed of freshly cut strawberries and enjoy! I recommend keeping these in the fridge!
These would be perfect to make for your loved one for Valentines day! Put some cute pink sprinkles on them, and set them in pink and red cupcake liners in a heart shaped box. Even more perfect to serve them with strawberries!
