Let me tell y'all.
When I was about to start making this recipe, I thought it was gonna take forever!
But I tell you what...
It took 20 minutes. Tops.
And I'm a super slow cooker! Like as in, when the recipe says it takes 30 mins, it takes me an hour and a half, ha!
SO, that being said, there may be some super moms out there who can get it done quicker than I can :)
Garlic, Herb, and Mushroom Pasta
Shopping List
1. Gluten free pasta {or whatever your family likes}
2. 2 tbs. of butter + 2 tbs. of butter
3. 12 oz. of mushrooms, sliced
4. 3 cloves of garlic, minced
5. 2 tbs. of flour
6. 1 1/2 cups of almond milk
7. Oregano, basil, paprika, red cayenne pepper, salt, pepper {eye these amounts}
Recipe
1. Cook your pasta according to the package with salt in boiling water. When strained, toss with a bit of olive oil so that it doesn't stick.
2. Over med- high heat, melt 2 tbs. of butter and add in your mushrooms. I like to make mine a bit more 'crunchy' {if you know what I mean}. Cook your mushrooms to your liking and set them aside.
3. Melt another 2 tbs. of butter in your pan and add in your garlic. Cook it until it is fragrant.
4. Whisk in your flour and cook for about 30 seconds.
5. Whisk in your milk slowly, and then add in all of your spices.
6. Let your sauce simmer for a while until it is thick enough for your liking.
7. Stir in your mushrooms and pasta and serve hot!
8. Enjoy!
This is such a simple dinner for you busy mama's out there who still like to make homemade meals every once in a while! Try this one for your next dinner!
