Um, ladies. Can you say COMFORT FOOD?!!
I mean, come on. Aren't you just ready to curl up on the couch with a soft blanket and a big bowl of this crazy goodness?
I know you are. Don't lie. I can see right through you. But it's alright. It can be our secret ;)
And yes, this pic is from Pillsbury.com. Why? Because my pic didn't happen when the food couldn't stay on our plates for more than 2 seconds ;)
But I promise, it's not the same recipe!
Creamy Broccoli Alfredo Tortellini
Shopping List
1. 2 bags of frozen broccoli, cooked
2. 20 oz. of refrigerated tortellini
3. 1 tbs. of butter + 2 tbs. of butter
4. 4 cloves of garlic, minced
5. 3 cups of half and half
6. 2 cups of fresh parmesan cheese, grated
7. Salt and pepper
8. Fresh or dried parsley, for garnish
Recipe
1. Make sure all of your ingredients are set aside in the correct amounts. This recipe can move quickly!
2. Cook your tortellini according to the directions on the package. Drain after cooking, and put 1 tbs. of butter in the strainer with it so that the noodles don't stick together.
3. On med-high heat, melt 2 tbs. of butter, and add in your 4 cloves of garlic.
4. When your garlic is fragrant from the pan, you can pour in your half and half. Bring it to a boil.
5. Stir in your grated parmesan cheese, and salt and pepper.
6. Let it all melt together, and when the sauce is thick enough to your liking, add in your cooked broccoli and tortellini.
7. If your sauce is too thick, you can use some pasta water to make it thinner!
8. Enjoy!
A big bowl of goodness. How else would you explain this?!
