How To Get Fit For Your Wedding!

Y'all, if you don't already know, I have a (small) series called Wedding Bells that holds all info about our upcoming wedding!

And this is just the best addition I could think of!

Hello, who doesn't want a rockin' body that your new husband won't be able to take his eyes off of??

I mean, let's be honest. We ALL want to look our very best for our wedding day.

We want to fit perfectly into our dress, we want our husband to think we're the most beautiful bride (he should already think that!), and these pictures are going to last a lifetime!

If what I just said doesn't motivate you to get in the best shape of your life, I don't know what will!

Come on ladies, let's do this together :)

How To Get Fit For Your Wedding

ONE
You need to ALWAYS keep this in mind.

There are no easy fixes.

If you want the rockin' bod that you don't want your hubby to take his eyes off of, you need to work for it.

Believe me, I wish there was a quick fix {that actually worked}. But you don't want to lose weight on some pill just to have it come right back when you stop taking them, right?

Right.

So, when you get discouraged, just remember that nobody with an amazing body got there from sitting on the couch and wishing for it.

And remember that your body is a temple that the Lord entrusted you with to keep in the best shape possible. Why wouldn't you want to work for that?

TWO
Train for something.

No this doesn't have to be hard. But take a goal and WRITE IT DOWN {this keeps you accountable}.

Remember, your goal doesn't just have to be about your weight or how many pounds you want to lose. Sometimes, it's even better not to think about the weight at all.

If you really want to keep to your goal, choose something that you are passionate about. This will keep you on track, make it fun, and you'll see the pounds melt off without even having to think about it!

Your 'passion goal' can be playing tennis 3 times a week, or going on a hike every weekend. Keep it fun!

I, personally, am training for a half marathon {and no, I'm not a runner, but if I can do it, so can you!}. Now, this is also because my man is going to be competing in an IronMan, and he needed to be training. And I didn't want to spend any time away from him. So we decided to do it together! {Which will be my next point}.

THREE
Have someone keep you accountable! This can be your mama, your best friend, or your man.

If you're not comfortable with your man being your accountability partner, then you may need to reexamine your relationship and if you're ready to be married.

If you're man is not willing to help you or be your accountability partner, then you may need to reexamine your relationship and if you're ready to be married.

If your accountability partner is willing to work out alongside you, that is awesome! But sometimes that's just not possible with conflicting schedules or living too far apart.

An accountability partner can just be someone who picks up the phone to call you everyday to see how you're doing!

Just be honest with them and yourself. And you'll see a transformation!

Now get out there and do it! If y'all would like to see specific workout posts, I would be happy to do those for you!
