I did this with a 1 1/4 inch curling iron {not using the clamp}, but I did it again today and I used a straightener.
Let me tell you, I love the way it turned out with my flat iron 1000 times more! So just keep that in mind :)
With my straightener, I took 1 inch sections of hair and curled them in the straightener, but stopped before the ends by just releasing the hair. I also straightened the bottom layer of my hair. It turned out beautifully!
