Bison Burgers!

Okay, so I may not ever make beef burgers again....

Well... that's kind of a big statement.

But once you taste these babies, you'll understand where I'm coming from ;)

These are so juicy and moist (I know I know. I hate that word too) and they were so full of incredible flavor!

I topped ours with some pepperjack cheese ( I was looking for Muenster, but they didn't have it at my grocery store).

I served these without a bun (because I'm watching my carbs), but I would suggest toasting up some gourmet sesame seed buns and laying these perfect patties on there!

For our side, I had some sweet potato fries, and my man had regular tater tots.

YUMMY!!

Bison was the perfect meat to work with for these burgers because it's super lean and traps all the flavor in. And as long as you don't handle them for too long, they don't get tough at all!

Join me in making the best burgers of your life!

(and yes, I did take a bite out of one of them. I couldn't help myself!)

Bison Burgers
Shopping List
1. 1 lb of ground bison meat (we use natural/organic)
2. 1/2 cup of panko bread crumbs
3. 3 TBS of Worcestershire sauce
4. 1 egg
5. A sprinkling of shredded cheese (I used italian blend)
6. 4 dashes of a hot sauce ( I used Tobasco)
7. Any kind of sliced cheese to lay on top of your burgers

Recipe
1. Preheat stove or grill to med-high heat.
2. Add all ingredients together (except for sliced cheese).
3. Form your patties for the correct size of your buns. Spray your burgers with olive oil spray (or your stove).
4. Throw your burgers on the stove and cook for about 3-5 mins each side. It was about 3 mins per side on my stove, but could be more like 5 mins per side if it's on the grill.
5. Flip your burgers. About 2 mins before they are done, add the sliced cheese on top. Let it melt into the burger.
6. Make sure there is no pink left in the burger and then take them off the grill and top them with whatever your heart desires! I love some ketchup, mayo, lettuce, bacon, tomato, and pickles!
7. Enjoy!

I know even the pickiest of eaters will love this recipe! And it's kinda nice to get away from JUST using ground beef all the time, right?!
