My Favorite Healthy, Easy, and Cheap Snacks!

Healthy. Easy. Cheap.

That's right! 3 of the best things! Y'all, these snacks are so yummy, and you can even make them ahead of time to make them even 'easier'!

These snacks are perfect for ANYONE! Mamas, the working gal, kiddos, etc...

I even pack these in my man's lunch, and he gobbles 'em up!

These are sure to keep you fuller a little longer (at least to make it to your next meal) without breaking the bank, or your waistline!

Healthy, Easy, and Cheap Snacks

1.  Carrots and Hummus!

Benefits:
Carrots improve vision and reduce your risk of cancer!
Hummus helps keep you regular and improves your bone, skin, and blood health!

(My fave kind of hummus)

Grab an already prepped bag of carrots, and to-go container of hummus, and you'll be on your way!

2.  Greek Yogurt with Raspberries and Honey!

Benefits:
Greek Yogurt has double the protein, half of the carbs and half of the sodium of regular yogurt!
Raspberries increase your body's fat burning abilities and have anti inflammatory properties!
Honey helps prevent cellular damage and loss within the brain, and is an excellent source of all-natural energy!

Prep a container of a single serving of greek yogurt (I prefer vanilla), put a handful of raspberries into a bag, and a tablespoon or so of honey for drizzle!
An easy way to take your honey to go is to put it in a medicine syringe (use one that has never been used before and is completely clean. Use the ones that you would use to squeeze liquid medicine into your baby's mouth, if that makes sense)

3. Kind Bars!

Benefits:
Healthy Grains Bar: Just one bar is 1/3 of your daily intake of grains. The grains include amaranth, quinoa, and buckwheat!

These are so easy for those busy on-the-go gals who need to stash a snack that won't go bad, but will tide you over until your next meal. These are yummy, and while I would not suggest eating more than one a day, these are much healthier than the other 'bars' on the market!

4.  Edamame with Sea Salt!

Benefits:
Edamame reduces the risk of high blood pressue, and it may help with depression by preventing an excess of homocysteine building up in the body!
Sea Salt can maintain a healthy electrolyte balance in the body, and promote good dental health!

I personally buy these frozen! I know you can buy them in single serving packs (I used to buy these in bulk at Costco, but I don't know if they still have them), and you can buy them fresh. But by buying them frozen, you can just grab one from the freezer and head to work. When you're ready, pop it in the microwave and they're all steamed! Pour a little sea salt on them, and you have yourself a super tasty snack!

5.  Oatmeal and Blueberries!

Benefits:
Oatmeal boosts your energy and helps support weight loss by being an appetite suppressor!
Blueberries can reduce DNA damage, which helps prevent cancer and aging, and has the highest antioxidant capacity of all the most commonly consumed fruits and veggies!

This is one of my favorite ones! Mainly because my mama used to make me this! Just reminds me of her :)
It's super tasty, easy to make (you can even buy microwaveable oatmeal, just make sure it's not flavored), and will keep you satisfied without the guilt! I personally like to sprinkle on a little bit of brown sugar, and sometimes add raisins or bananas. Feel free to mix it up!

I hope this sparks a little interest in y'all's daily lives, to spice up your snacks!

Let me know what you think below :)
